ARC Party tonight!
Hey ARC,
Just a reminder that tonight is the ARC Party at my house 10:30pm. I'd rather not put the address online.
Don't forget to invite the rest of your club, and also please RSVP!

We'll be raising money some money for Oxfam's America's Global Emergency Fund. This
charity helps deliver food to people who are affected by the global food crisis. Please bring $5 to help!
Thanks for a great year.

P.S. I can't believe I forgot to write this up on the blog. I got scooped about a party happening at my own house. How sad is that?!

Brandeis University's students, like Sam Vaghar and Seth Werfel among others, are featured in this great Boston Globe article on campus activism. Brandeis activism is thriving, and we're getting noticed.
UPDATE: To get involved with PF, check out their meetings! They meet Sundays 4pm-5pm in Shapiro Campus Center, Room 313.
Don't tell Sam Vaghar that today's generation is apathetic.Way to go! And check out more at the website for Positive Foundations.

At 21, the Newton North High School graduate and senior at Brandeis University is the executive director of a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to tackling the planet's major problems. The Millennium Campus Network, which unites organizations from a number of Greater Boston schools, is entirely run by its student members.
Vaghar and Brandeis sophomore Seth Werfel, a New York City native, founded the network last August. The group is preparing for its inaugural Millennium Campus Conference to be held next weekend at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. The event has booked several notable speakers, including former senator John Edwards; R&B artist John Legend; and Ira Magaziner, who was a senior policy adviser to President Bill Clinton.

Mike Gravel is (STILL) speaking tonight at the Lown Auditorium in Rabb. He was scheduled to speak at 8pm, but his plane got delayed in New York. He is willing to speak with students as long as there are students willing to listen, so he will be coming at 11pm!
This event was organized by SDS, but the delays are anything but their fault. Blame the weather, or perhaps Cthulhu.

Get your dance on.
Trisk and SEA are having their dance *tonight*!
Love camp (the summer experience)?
Love camp (the theatrical, coquettish approach to life)?
Love being out (doors)?
Love being out (of the closet)?
Love Trisk?
Love SEA?
Come to the dance at the Shapiro Atrium starting at 10pm. It's going to be amazing, and it's a great example of two clubs working together to create a fantastic event.

Over at It's Getting Hot In Here a great blog about the youth-environmental movent, they've posted some great summer opportunities to help work on environmental campaigns around the country. Here are a few of them:
- Change It (July 16-21st Boston, MA & July 26-31st Seattle, WA) : Change It provides an opportunity for student leaders already committed to protecting the environment, leading social change and taking action to learn the skills and tools they need to become effective leaders. Change It participants will work one-on-one with Greenpeace mentors, who will provide personalized training on campaign strategy, recruitment, and event planning. Students will emerge from the program ready to engage in the efforts necessary to prevent global warming and address the most critical issues facing their generation. The website will go live in April. Contact: mary.nicol@sfo.greenpeace.org
- Northeast Climate Confluence (Late July, Worcester, MA): At this summer’s Northeast gathering we will be coming together from many backgrounds (multi generational, multi-racial, multi-gender, etc.) to help create the tangible changes we need within our communities. The focus will be on the needs and knowledge of communities that are most negatively effected by fossil fuel mining, burning, and by climate related disasters. The camp will include: over a week of workshops; issue based, skills based, trainings; strategy planning; and social events for networking and sharing stories in a fully sustainable gathering. Contact: northeast@climateconvergence.org
- SPROG (10 week-long programs, OR, CA, NM, MN, TX, GA, VA, PA, NH, PR): The Sierra Student Coalition’s week-long summer training programs (SPROGs) are nationally recognized and feature some of the country’s top student environmental leaders. They offer a perfect opportunity to get the grassroots organizing and leadership skills you need to organize and rise to the growing climate challenge. With 10 trainings around the country and spread throughout the summer, the SSC aims to train hundreds of students in grassroots organizing and connect them with organizing opportunities during the summer. Contact: jon@ssc.org.
